Alexa Chung, I Love You

I've been back home in Texas for 9 days now and haven't managed to do anything productive (not even work, thanks to a glitch with the manager at my old store where I was supposed to transfer back to...) besides copious amounts of tv-watching, smoking weed, and throwing my clothes around my room.

However, I have:

-nearly finished East of Eden, by John Steinbeck. Trust me, it's even better the second time and I forgot there's a whole chapter devoted to competing whore-houses.

-cooked a pretty decent seared beef and noodle soup, thank you Martha and thank you Erik for braving the mushy white mass that was once called rice noodles and somehow still enjoying it (or atleast pretending to).

-cleaned ERIK'S fridge, for some reason, unearthing a deadly diet potion called "chlorophyll," several green watery bags full of herb and vegetable slush, and several meat products expired several months hence.

-created a few teacup beeswax candles in probably the most slap-dash unorthodox way possible; which basically means taking a dirty hammer to break up the beeswax then smushing all pieces inside a glass container and microwaving for 10 minutes until everything is liquid then pouring it both in and around the candles and on my hand. Then, in a fit of genuis I tied the wicks around little pencils to keep them straight and laid the pencils horizontally over the tops of the cups. I wish I'd documented the process but here is the finished product:

Also, in watching copious amounts of television I've collected a girl crush: Alexa Chung. I'm probably the last person to discover It's On With Alexa Chung but I don't care because look:

everything in it's right place.
